Finance Minister and co-chair of the multi-ministry task force on COVID-19 Lawrence Wong has said there are no plans to further tighten COVID-19 restrictions, since current measures seem to be working for now.
Minister Lawrence also announced that a $800 million support package will be rolled out to help businesses and workers cope with the impact of tightened restrictions. It includes enhanced wage subsidies under the Jobs Support Scheme for affected sectors such as gyms, fitness studios, performing arts organisations and arts education centres, as well as rental relief.
