Famed Halal Tze Char Now Serves Pop-Up Halal “Mookata” X Yakiniku In Seng Kang

Mookata is not new in singapore but Halal mookata is definitely one of the lesser known in the mookata market. Going in with zero expectations, we were invited to try their mookata with their japanese marination which were inspired by the yakiniku concept, but in a mookata format.

    Gyu-Tan (Tongue)

Top with their marination on top to give the extra boomz as you put it on the hotplate, just thinking back and it’s making us drool!

    Whole lamb chop

Being a giant chain of tze char, they get access to pretty fresh and good piece of meat at a relative low cost due to their economic of scale, and that is a win for the consumers! They have meat from lamb chop to gyu tan (cow tongue) to karubi, there’s definitely something for everyone in the exotic department!

    Oyster Mushroom
    Enoki Mushroom
    Shiitake Mushroom

In the mushroom department, they also have quite a nice selection of mushroom, topped with their special yakiniku sauce, which adds the boomz to the mushroom when BBQ-ing over the grille. The fragrance from the garlic, light sweetness and umami from the sauce, simply enhances the eating exprience.

    Fish Slice

Being a sea-food specialist, they even brought their wide selection of seafood to the mookata menu, grille or mixed into the soup, both are a great choice, depending on how you liked them.

    Fresh prawns

In the sauce and chilli department, from their umami sauce that they used in their marination, they made a dipping-sauce version out of it so you can dip and eat with it.

Amoungst those, they have other hand-made sauce that are also worth trying.

    Yakiniku Dipping Sauce
    Home-Made Thai Dipping Sauce
    Home-Made Seafood sauce

What is tze char without a good chilli sauce? Buey Tahan spent a great deal of time in the chilli department for their tze char, and it definitely speaks through this seafood chilli sauce that they have specially created for their mookata. Not only is the spice the right amount, it enhances the freshness of the seafood, creating a refreshing experience eating the seafood.

We even added an egg on top of our meat mountain! Umami bomb! What a sight this is!

    Super Value Meal

For 2-3 pax, i would recommend you can first start with this value meal at just $19.90 which has a whole list of ingredients and then from there, you can choose to add-on ala carte!

    Garlic Chicken
    Short plate
    Hotdog
    Crabstick
    Chinese cabbage
    Kangkong
    Tanghoon
    Cheese tofu
    Enoki mushroom
    Chicken spam
    Corn

Their other ala carte starts from only $2! Very OK!

    What a spread!
