With the heighten alert imposed by the government, neon light gelato cafe owner, Jason was hit quite badly with a team of staff, overheads and rental. During the interview with SGFoodieKing about his business, Jason broke down into tears.
Not waiting to see Ice Bar fail and disappoint his staff, he had to squeeze out whatever remaining savings he has left for their salary.
This is Jason and he is the owner of Ice Bar. First started as an ice creams seller when he was young, knocking from doors to doors just to earn some pocket money and as a side hustle to support his family
Having a ice-cream parlour has always been his childhood dream and with Ice-bar, it’s a dream come true for him!
Located at the heart of Hougang, Ice bar is tucked right at the cosy corner of Hougang Green Shopping Mall with just a simple banner by the side.
But no not be fool by it’s appearance, once you step-in, it’s a whole new world!
Entering into a totally new space, this place has now turned into a super instagrammable spot. While you’re there, it’s not all neon and blink!
They have comfortable spots for you to just chill with your friends, away from the neon frenzy along with the sofas too
Over at Ice-bar, they have waffle ice-cream that starts from just $4.90 and ice-cream for just $3.90!
For those that are on diet or small eaters, this petite waffle can easily be shared between pax.
For larger pax, you can opt for their full waffle at only $8.90!
Do not be fooled by their price, they serves fantastic ice-cream with very unique and creative ice-creams that rotates on a bi-weekly basis!
Some of the more unique ice-cream includes Wang Zai Milk ice-cream, Korean strawberry shortcake, Snickers Ice Cream!
